MediaWarden is a digital asset management (DAM) and media cataloging platform in development. Our goal is to bring searchable previews, useful metadata, and original file locations together in one organized view.

A catalog is not a backup. Original files still need their own backup plan.

What MediaWarden is, who it’s for, and where things stand.
What is MediaWarden?
MediaWarden is a media cataloging and digital asset management platform in development for photographers, video creators, and creative teams. It is being designed to help people find, organize, and manage photos, video, and audio while tracking where the original files are stored.
Will I have to upload all my original files?
Our planned approach is to catalog files where they already live and use previews and metadata for browsing. We do not intend to require a full-library upload. Storage connections and supported workflows will be confirmed before launch.
Will it work with external drives and offline media?
External-drive cataloging and browsing saved previews while a drive is disconnected are planned capabilities. Accessing or editing an original file would still require access to its storage device.
Is MediaWarden a photo editor or a backup service?
MediaWarden’s focus is finding, cataloging, and organizing media. It is not being positioned as a photo editor or a substitute for backing up your original files.
Is this a replacement for iView MediaPro?
MediaWarden is inspired by the straightforward visual cataloging workflow people valued in tools such as iView MediaPro. It is an independent product, not affiliated with iView, Microsoft, Phase One, or Capture One. Direct import of legacy catalogs has not been confirmed.
Which file formats and operating systems will be supported?
Photos, video, and audio are the intended media categories. Specific file formats, RAW camera support, desktop operating systems, and integrations have not yet been announced.
When will MediaWarden launch, and what will it cost?
MediaWarden is in development and is not yet available to use. A launch date and pricing have not been announced. This website will be updated as those details are confirmed.
